Shockwave Therapy
FDA-cleared acoustic shockwave for chronic tendon and joint pain, knee pain, and hip disorders — drug-free, surgery-free relief.
Shockwave Therapy delivers focused acoustic pressure waves into chronic injury sites to stimulate blood flow, break down scar tissue, and trigger the body's own repair response. Dr. Goldman uses it for stubborn tendinopathies that haven't responded to rest, stretching, or manual care alone — including plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, calcific shoulder, Achilles and patellar tendon problems.
How does it work? A handheld wand pulses focused acoustic waves over the painful area for a few minutes. The waves travel a few centimeters under the skin and effectively remind the tissue there's still an injury to heal — pulling fresh blood into the area, breaking apart calcifications, and recruiting repair cells into a chronic site the body had stopped working on.
Shockwave is more sensation-forward than the Impulse adjustment — most patients describe it as a strong, percussive tapping. Uncomfortable, never sharp. Sessions take five to ten minutes, there's no anesthesia, you can drive yourself home, and there's no downtime. Most conditions respond within three to six visits scheduled about a week apart.
If you've been living with heel pain, a stubborn shoulder, or a tendon issue that just won't quit, schedule a shockwave consultation. Dr. Goldman will examine the area first and tell you honestly whether shockwave, an adjustment, decompression, or some combination is the right next step.
